Guidelines and Hiring Process of the Security Officer
The following checkpoints are adhered to before any Security Officer is offered employment at Lion Services Inc.
Pre-Screening:
- Initial employee application and interview.
- Current Police Department fingerprint background check.
- Verification of identity and work authorization.
- Verification of previous employment and personal references.
- Written test to verify the comprehension and writing ability of the English language.
- Verification of Security Officer’s licenses.
- Applicant will be asked to submit to drug testing.
Once the above checkpoints have been verified and reviewed by a senior member of management, a second interview will be held with the security manager, personnel director, and/or post captain. If offered employment, the applicant will be required to:
- Attend an orientation of Lion Services Inc. company’s rules, regulations, procedures, and policies.
- Receive additional training on Security Officer’s rules, regulations, report writing, and procedures as well as Local, City, State, and Federal laws and mandates.
- Receive site-specific training the Security Officer will be assigned to on rules, regulations, post orders, and procedures, of the Client’s Site.
- Mandatory On-site training with the security manager and/or post captain.
Upon completion of all the above, a final oral exam will be given to the applicant by the security manager or personnel director to assess the comprehension and retention of all training received. If the security manager/personnel director is satisfied with the result, then and only then will the applicant be offered 90 day probationary employment status. During those 90 days, the employee’s work performance, appearance, demeanor, paperwork, and attendance will be scrutinized before being offered permanent employment. Records of the Security Guards at your site will be available for your review. Please note, privacy laws must be adhered to.
